I have a lack of faith in America

At least that’s what the President would have you to believe anyway. His recent trip to a Ford plant seems to paint the picture that those of us that were against the bailouts, stimulus, and all of the other shenanigans tied to those events have no faith in America or her people. (On a side note, I find it ironic that he makes these claims at a car manufacturer that took no bailout money. They came out of crisis of their own accord.)

Nothing could be further from the truth, however. I have so much faith in the American people that I believe they can overcome and adversity by their own hard work and determination. We have the opportunity for greatness because there are risk involved. If a business owner takes that risk it is because they want a big pay out for it. If you always give them a safety net though then people will start making more unwise decisions and our economic situation will only get worse.

The President has it exactly backwards here. It’s he that has no faith in the American People.  Give us the opportunity for greatness and if we fail then give us the chance to come back and succeed even more.
